We're back

We're back - safe and sound.

After a slow journey due to lots of traffic and some roadworks the coach is back, bags are being collected and most of us will be looking forward to an early night!

We're on our way home

It's 1.43 pm and we've just set off from Blists Hill on the coach.

See you soon.

At Bliss Hill

At Blists Hill Victorian village, we first popped into the bank to change our money into the "old" shillings and pence. Then we have been looking around the village and doing a little shopping in the sweet shop and the grocers.

Breakfast

Now that looks like a good breakfast to me!

Up, ready... and with time to spare

Friday morning

Everone had great night sleep and feel very rested. The children are busy packing and stripping their bed before breakfast

Thursday evening - late

Everyone was tucked up in bed with lights off and quiet by 9.30 pm after a busy and tiring day.

And there's another exciting and busy day tomorrow at Blists Hill!

Thursday evening

It is an evening of cake making and a time to relax in front of a film for a while.

Thursday tea

Tea today was cottage pie or sausage and mash.

This evening we will be cooking again - this time it's cake in a cup!

Thursday afternoon

This afternoon, we have walked down to the valley of the River Severn.

Here we all are in front of the world famous iron bridge:

Thursday lunch

Lunch was good - and it included some of the bread we made this morning!

And this is some of that bread:

Thursday morning activities

Our Thursday morning activities have been bread making and candle making.

Here are some photos of our bread making activity:

Is that going to be an octopus?

Thursday breakfast

We've had a hearty breakfast - selecting from "full English" cooked breakfast as well as toast, croissants and fruit!

Now for our morning activities.

Thursday - early

Everyone was in bed, settled and quiet by 9.30 yesterday evening - and no-wonder considering how packed the day had been with all the great activities.

Everyone slept well.

Wednesday evening activity

Some photos of our painting activity:

It looks like everyone's enjoying it!

Wednesday tea

There was plenty to eat at tea time - with chicken curry, lasagne or jacket potato followed by syrup sponge and custard.

Later Wednesday afternoon activities

Here we are in the Victorian wash-house.

Photos of our Wednesday afternoon activities

We have had a busy afternoon with different activities for our groups. Apart from the archaeological dig and problem solving, some of us have tried a photo hunt.

We hope you like our pictures:
